The event, held in the Wilanów Palace’s courtyard, attracted nearly 500 guests from around the world.

Thanks to the involvement of the business and art community in Poland, the Grand Charity Auction TOP CHARITY 2024 has become not only a philanthropic success, but also an important point on the cultural map of Europe. Funds raised will help support children and young people, confirming that art and charity can go hand in hand to create a better future.

Exceptional Works of Art and Great Emotions

During the auction, 15 works of art and 10 highlights from the Grand Emotions category were sold. The Art Council, responsible for selecting the works, consisted of Iwona Büchner-Grzesiak, Rafał Kamecki, Boris Kudlička, Kama Zboralska, and Omenaa Mensah. The auctioned artworks were selected during the year-long conversations, debates, and cooperation between art lovers and experts.

The highest auctioned artwork was the sculpture “Torso alato” by Igor Mitoraj, which sold for an impressive PLN 6,800,000. Also successful was the auction of Igor Dobrowolski’s artwork, which reached a price of PLN 850,000.

Professionalism and transparency

For the first time in the history of the event, EY Poland became the independent auditor of the auction, ensuring the highest standard of transparency and professionalism. The proper conduct of the auction was supervised by Jacek Piotrowski of Polswiss Art Auction House and Artinfo.pl, the largest independent art market portal.

Artistic Meetings and Inspirations

The event also included the ChangeMakers 2024 Business Conference, where discussions included the cooperation of business and art and the role of philanthropy in creating culture. Panelists included Secretary of State Jacek Siewiera and US Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski, and Phyllis Newhouse, founder of ShoulderUp Technology Acquisition Corp.
