The recently formed OmenaArt Foundation made its official debut during the opening of the Grand Charity Auction Exhibition, held in the Orangery of the Wilanów Palace, Warsaw. This auspicious occasion was marked by the unveiling of one of Spain’s most stunning sculptures, the acclaimed Reina Mariana, crafted by the eminent Spanish artist Manolo Valdés. This marks the first instance of Polish art enthusiasts having the opportunity to view a creation by Valdés, an artist with work featured in numerous esteemed public and private collections in locations such as Paris, Barcelona, New York, and at the Biennale in Venice.
The exhibition also offers a first-time Polish viewing of pieces by Korean artist Chun Kwang Young. The presence of works by Magdalena Abakanowicz, a renowned Polish artist, adds a local flair to the exhibition. This includes two outdoor sculptures, generously loaned by the Polish Sculpture Center in Orońsko, and a striking piece titled Figura z Otwartymi Ramionami (Figure with Open Arms), kindly provided by the Polswiss Art Auction House.
Art connoisseurs will also appreciate an assortment of pieces from private collections, featuring a work by Xawery Wolski among others.
