Kinga Burek-Domżalska, Karolina Jarzębak, and Lia Kimura as participants of the latest edition of the international art residency program by OmenaArt Foundation and LuginsLand of Art.

During their stay in Malta and Gozo, the artists visited the historic Villa Luginsland (which is planned to be transformed into a new art and cultural exchange center in the future), and took part in a series of workshops led by Maltese creators – including ceramics at THISS Clay, printmaking in the studio of Justin Falzon, and experimental artistic practices with artist Victor Agius. The Polish artists connected with the local art community and explored Malta’s heritage, from Valletta and MICAS to the prehistoric Ġgantija temples, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Kimura, Burek-Domżalska and Jarzębak represent different visual languages and artistic approaches – from figurative painting, through conceptual practices, to works combining art and design. What connects them is consistency, authenticity, and openness to new experiences – values nurtured and strengthened by the OmenaArt Foundation residency program.
OmenaArt Foundation’s residencies enable artists to work in an international environment, expand their professional networks, and foster new relationships in the art world. So far, the international program – held in Malta and Ghana – has included: Kinga Burek-Domżalska, Igor Dobrowolski, Monika Falkus, Emilia Kina, Ida Karkoszka, Lia Kimura, Zofia Pałucha, Karolina Jarzębak, and Agata Słowak. In the future, the Foundation plans to expand the project to additional countries – Italy and Poland.
